JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Live-In
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Carer to provide
full-time support and assistance to an elderly couple in their home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day care and
household tasks to ensure the well-being and comfort of the couple.
This role is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, and has
experience in elderly care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
* PERSONAL CARE: Assist with daily personal care activities,
including dressing, and grooming.
* MEDICATION SUPPORT: Administer prescribed medications and ensure
they are taken on time.
* HOUSEHOLD TASKS: Perform general housekeeping duties such as
washing dishes, doing laundry, and maintaining a clean and tidy living
environment.
* MEAL PREPARATION: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into
account dietary restrictions and preferences.
* MOBILITY ASSISTANCE: Help with movement and mobility around the
house, including using walking aids or assisting with transfers.
* COMPANIONSHIP: Provide emotional support and companionship,
engaging in conversations, and ensuring the couple's mental
well-being.
* ERRANDS: Run occasional errands, such as grocery shopping or
picking up prescriptions, as needed.
* EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Be prepared to respond to any medical or other
emergencies promptly and efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Previous experience in a similar caregiving role, preferably with
elderly individuals.
* Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting or assisting with
mobility.
* Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience,
empathy, and a positive attitude towards caring for the elderly.
* Ability to work independently and manage household tasks
effectively.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be willing to live in the home full-time.
* A valid driver’s license is preferred but not essential.
* Must pass a background check and provide references.
